.dll files missing, I have installed a program (Techstream) on my laptop and when continuing on to install main menu for program I get .dll missing error, there are a total of 4 that it says are missing. After googling the issue without success I have at least identified that the 4 missing files are in the downloads file folder in program files(x86) I have tried all I can determine like uninstall, restart re install and even got my hands on a clean install link which did exactly the same thing. Tried the install on 3 PC's with the same outcome.

And if the program is for like windows Vista or Windows 7, then you need to uninstall it in

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features

    restart pc

right click on the setup.exe or installer file and follow this to install in compatibility mode.

First you need to check the version of the program and search the web or look on the CD for what OS platform it was designed for.

copy and paste the 4 dll files from the download folder into the

    C:\Windows\System32 folder

    restart pc.

And why is there a downloads folder in program files(x86).

do you mean the folder named for the program being installed here.

Or does this program create a download folder in its install folder in program files(x86).

Is it designed for Windows 10 or an earlier version of Windows?

Are you installing from a disc or setup files?

Have you contacted the software developer to find out about support for Windows 10?
